Mr. Tom Ruiz
Mr. Thomas Ruiz is a 24 year veteran of the United States Air Force (USAF). Beginning his military career as an Aviation Maintenance Apprentice, Crew Chief, on the C-130 Hercules aircraft, he quickly desired to have a greater role in the overall production and combat readiness of the Air Force fleet. He studied relentlessly evenings and weekends eventually earning an Associate degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology from the Community College of the Air Force, a Bachelor of Science degree in Professional Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and finally a Master’s degree in Business and Organizational Security Management from Webster University. Upon earning his degree in Professional Aeronautics, he applied and was accepted to the USAF Officer Training School, Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama, and was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the United States Air Force where he began the second chapter in his Air Force Career as an Aircraft Maintenance Officer. His extensive aircraft maintenance and logistics experience led him to several command positions including Commander, Detachment 2, Naval Air Station Pensacola, and Commander for the 649th Combat Logistics Support Squadron at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, supporting depot level repair and modification of the F-16, A-10, and F-22 aircraft.
As a concerned father, he has been active in supporting his daughter’s education processes, and ardently supports the Vision and Mission of Capstone Classical Academy. His military logistics experience will strongly benefit Capstone Classical Academy in dealing with facility issues.
Tom Spends his spare time restoring vintage jeep vehicles, and also enjoys an occasional off-road trip in one of his Jeeps.
